THE REGIONAL LEAGUE STRUCTURE IN 2007/08
Slovenia, Croatia and Serbia starts with two clubs in the league each, Bosnia and Herzegovina with one representative while Budućnost from Montenegro was given a wild-card. Other places in the league were filled acccording to the national standing. The best country (Serbia) was givven two additional places, the second best (Croatia) was also given two additional places after Rabotnički gave up its wild-card, the third county (Slovenia) was given one additional place. Serbia was also the best according to the coefficient from the 2005/06 and 2006/07 season and was therefore given one more place in the league for the 2007/08.

The coefficient is the sum of all victories clubs from a certain country achieve in a regular season divided by the number of clubs from that country.
